When I had my son (my first kid) I was a very anxious parent. I’ve written about this before, but in a nutshell I had severe postpartum anxiety - I was like a chihuahua, shaking and terrified of everything (by everything, I mean…my baby). Eventually I got on medication, things slowly started feeling easier, I started feeling like…I would survive being a mother. I didn’t like it yet, but I could do it.

As I found my footing and started to get into the groove, something must have changed about my demeanor or my face or something because suddenly everyone wanted to give me advice.
