What To Wear To A Playdate (When You Don't Know The Other Mom Yet)

As I mentioned last week, my son just started at a new school, and is (again, per my last email) blessedly making friends. Which is a gift to him, but also to us, because with those friends come their families, and it’s been very nice to meet new parents. There is, however, that first playdate, before you’ve properly had the chance to suss each other out. Before you know what the vibe is, when you want to look neither slobby nor snobby, but also not uncomfortable… what exactly do you wear for that first hang? Making new friends as an adult is hard enough, without having to stress about what to wear.

Here’s me thinking through my own self-consciousness spiral about new friend hangs, so hopefully you don’t have to feel as weird as I do.
