What To Wear To Dropoff
You don't want to look like you just woke up, but you literally just woke up.
Before I had kids, I would never have considered “dropoff outfits” as a thing. But now I know better. It’s the weird time of day when you haven’t had a chance to do anything at all for yourself, before YOU need to be anywhere, and also before you’d choose to present yourself to, if not the world, then the bulk of your mom friends. It’s an in-between time, and I generally try to not look like what the cat dragged in. At the same time, it’s unrealistic for me to look actually great at 8:10 in the morning, but even if I was the type to wake up earlier than my kids to take care of myself, I still wouldn’t choose to look fancy. It’s too early. Anyway, here are a few formulas that I stick by when I can get actually dressed, when I have a workout planned immediately after drop, and when I can’t get my shit together to change out of my sweats.
